This painting was made a sister piece to Golden Features.
It was made to reflect the depth and shallowness of the ocean. The shallow waters and sandbanks, to the darkest and deepest of it. It is made from Resin, fluid acrylic, spray paint, ink, and metallic powders. It was made by layering fluid acrylic with clear resin, meaning that it was left with beautiful shadows that look like parts are floating.
In the top right corner of this print, there is a part of metallic silver powder, mixed with resin. As i poured the resin, it miraculously formed these beautiful, naturally formed holes. It was such a fantastic mistake! This is what I live for! I'm not sure whether it looks like a reef, or clouds, or foam, but it is something that could never be re-created. That's what I love about it.
It was painted to the song Me & Magdelena by the Monkees which gave it its name.
